An integral part of A2ndAct.org’s mission is to make micro grants available to women survivors ready to launch their own 2nd Acts.

Announcing our first grant cycle, opening
June 1, 2017!

OUR PROCESS

Our micro grants – available to women survivors of ANY cancer – will be made via an application process, through which the applicant will clearly state her project, its process, and its goals. The applications will be scored using the following metric:

A clear mission and description of the scope of the organization’s work – 35%
Potential impact of your organization on your community – 25%
Whether your organization has an innovative approach that addresses its objective in a unique way – 15%
Letters of support – 15%
Whether your organization has a clearly defined budget – 10%

Our Advisory Board will analyze the applications and make the final decision. Neither our founder nor our governing board members are a part of the decision-making process.

HOW TO APPLY

Come back here any time between June 1, 2017, and July 31, 2017, to complete and submit your application. We’re going to ask lots of questions and suggest you start organizing your materials as soon as possible.

Your 2nd Act doesn’t necessarily have to be cancer related. Children, animals, the environment – whatever makes your heart sing!

Remember, in this case, size doesn’t matter. The doing does!

Two $1,000 grants will be awarded to Phoenix metro area women survivors, and another $1,000 grant will be made to a Tucson metro area woman survivor.

In addition, each grant awardee will receive three months of entrepreneurial coaching from our friend and cancer survivor, Sean Alfonso! With this $30,000 value, Sean will help you organize your business plan, set goals, realize those goals and more.

Good luck, sister survivors!
